"Featuring the Very Best of the Riches of the Land and Sea"
Jewelry: I'm back in my studio designing truly extraordinary jewelry, and working on two new mixed media works.
My work reaches out to people who have a natural curiousity about life---people with independent ideas about design and forms of human adornment---people who appreciate both classic design and breathtaking new forms of jewelry.
Highlights of the jewelry collection: The collection includes sprays of pearls tumbling from an ivory-colored sea urchin that are then merged into a jeweled pendant...a necklace of beads of midnight lava married to the sun-bleached rib bones of an Indonesian boar....a chunk of animal horn carved into a silver and pearl-enhanced small fish, originally used by nomadic tribes, in Nepal and Mongolia, as needle carriers---why a special carrier for needles? Needles function as essential tools of nomadic life---they enable the skins and furs that form the walls of their tents to be stitched together...a necklace that appears to float on a waterfall of pearls and beads that flatter the neck of anyone...thick ropes of Baltic amber twisted as a necklace and married to a large specimen of unfossilized amber from Columbia...and much more.
Highlights of the mixed media collection: My early work reflects my concerns about war and social justice. I'm presently working on new pieces highlighting American Jazz greats, such as Stan Kenton.
Location: Exhibitions of my jewelry are available through my trunk shows, which can be held in your home or at a special event or meeting. Professional courtesy to nonprofit organizations. Exhibitions of my mixed media work occur on a regular basis at selected venues. Please call 619.318.4622 for details.
